SECTION 202

The property was developed with funding through the HUD Section 202 program which provides funding for housing for seniors who are 62 or older. The program provided both capital financing to construct the property and operating subsidies that work as rental assistance like the Section 8 program.

DEVELOPMENT COST

This property includes 47 units of mixed commercial and Section 8 housing for the frail elderly in a four-story mid-rise building.  The development cost was over $3.5 million.

EBCDC co-sponsored this HUD Section 202 projects in collaboration with the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.
